Dari Blog Obefiend – Siri 13 #2

END OF THE WORLD

I think in UTP my chances of getting some good feedbacks are infinitely better than in LUCT.

Nota1: Good responses, better than anywhere in Malaysia I think. But sadly, even Perakians barely know WHAT IS UTP! Ok, how many of you even know what UTP stands for? Hands up please.

UTP have excellent student to student community thanks to the IRC and Grapevine. We actually have open discussion on Malay rights, religion, world policy and politics in the grapevine forum since 2003.

Nota2: Yes I’ve seen some and sometimes even involve in those things. IRC is now, having their own building – back in 2005, IRC building is non-existence as far as I know. Not even the white-beautiful-once-a-year-polish-cleaned-mosque. I mean this mosque:

masjidUtp Subuh

 MASJID_BLUESKY

 MASJID_SENJA

 MasjidAn-Nurcopy

IRC can’t be seen in any of them. I have lots more but these are just spoilers. You want to see them then come see them.

Back to the conversation, UTP has aggresive, active, optimistic, positive thinking students. But I wouldn’t ever enter UTP as a student. No and never! I don’t want to spend the whole year appreciating Seri Iskandar alone – for four consecutive years! Thank God I’m studying far in the northern part of Malaysia or else – nowhere.

Even after rejecting two offers in Law – one from Brunei and one from USIM. One missed interview for specialist nurse in IJN. Another latecoming offer for Diploma in Psychology. And lots more from UiTM’s “kolej bersekutu” –  surely because I attended the introductory seminar about these united-college-thing which actually involve the 200k target of students for 2010 session [as far as I remember it was 2010]. But as Dr Ibrahim Abu Shah retired, and Dr Sahol took place, I think the mission would be changed a bit. But they said Arau campus student would sum up to 15k by 2012. Nice. That would be in my last semester, I hope.

Students in UTP can be compared to only Peers members of Arau campus. For the most-student-show-up in this campus is when Peers conduct AGM. For Acels [English Society] or Debate club, I don’t think it would even near the target of 500. UiTM students are lame in speaking-related clubs; most probably. Even my housemates won’t show up for clubs – most of the time I have to go alone to any club activity T_T.
